中海汽车船运输有限公司（简称“中海汽船”）是由中国海运（集团）总公司出资于2007年6月6日在上海注册成立的集团一级专业公司，主要投资和管理中国海运的内外贸汽车船，着力发展国际和国内的汽车滚装海运业务。

    中海汽船拥有全资的大连中海汽车船运输有限公司和与日本川崎汽船株式会社合资并控股的中海川崎汽车船运输有限公司，拥有两艘目前中国最大的、3294车位的汽车船“中海高速”轮和“东方高速”轮。

    中海汽船2008年还将有四艘大型汽车船陆续投入营运，其中4900车位汽车船2艘；6400车位汽车船2艘。届时，中海汽船将达到2.9万车位的运力规模，成为国内最大的汽车船运输公司。

    China Shipping Car Carrier Inc. was founded on Jun. 6th, 2007 in Shanghai，and it is a fully owned subsidiary company of China Shipping Group. China Shipping Car Carrier Inc. stresses the investment and management of the car carriers of China Shipping Group, and its main task is to build and develop international and domestic car shipping network.

    China Shipping Car Carrier has two affiliated enterprises : one is a fully owned company, named China Shipping Car Carrier (DALIAN) Co. Ltd; the other is a holding company and joint venture with Japan’s K LINE，named Orient Sea Highway Services Co. Ltd. It now has two vessels in its fleet, “MV ZHONG HAI GAO SU” and “MV DONG FANG GAO SU”, with a capacity of 3294 Car Equivalent Units each, which are the largest car carriers in China by now.

    There will be four car carriers that come into service by 2008, in which, two 4900-CEU and two 6400-CEU car carriers. By then, it will become the largest car carrier company in China with a total capacity of 29 thousands CEUs.
